I founded the Entrepreneurs Summit to help entrepreneurs learn from successful entrepreneurs and get introductions to quality investors. I’m passionate about bringing people together to create and implement ideas that improve society. I bring leaders from different sectors together at annual leader summits to explore: 1) How to address our nation's infrastructure problems (p3summit.com); 2) How to create jobs and improve national productivity through entrepreneurship (entrepreneurs-summit.com); and 3) How to improve the economy through improved corporate performance, governance, and capital markets (capital-summit.com). I’m dedicated to social justice and change through my work at Tides; music education through my work Little Kids Rock, and medical research through the Veterans Health Research Institute. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about how companies and countries can create cultures and policies attracting top talented women, minorities, and immigrants to join and stay. I've worked at all stages of a business from early stage to Fortune 500 and have experience launching, building, and selling businesses.
To serve my country, I joined the US Army and trained in small team leadership, distributed networks, and special operations. To serve my community I co-founded Little Kids Rock (www.littlekidsrock.org) to revitalize and restore music education. Little Kids Rock is a national non-profit restoring and revitalizing music education in disadvantaged public schools. We've served over 500,000 kids across 29+ cities across the US. Little Kids Rock has been featured in Forbes and Rolling Stone.
I currently lead Summit Pioneer, a boutique digital media company. My team is focused on helping companies increase engagement with prospects and clients through the use of engaging video content.
I’m also working with researchers from UCSF to launch a company focused on diagnostic testing to detect early stage kidney disease while it is still reversible.
I find this work and people involved to be inspiring, and our goals are ambitious. We’re on a mission to change the world. You can find me on LinkedIn.
